Unified Digital Twin Chat

What is Unified Digital Twin Chat?

Unified Digital Twin Chat is a single interface for every type of AI-powered conversation in Panoplai. Previously, different chat modes lived in different parts of the platform — you'd start one conversation in a study dashboard, another in a segment profile, and another multi-study. Now they're all in one place, accessible from a single entry point.

Whether you want to interrogate a specific study, compare findings across multiple waves, talk to a persona, or ask a general research question, you start in the same spot every time.

Chat types

Unified Chat supports five conversation modes. You select the type when you start a new conversation — or let Panoplai suggest one based on your question.

Segment: Talk to a specific audience segment within a study. Ask them questions directly, explore attitudes and behaviors, and probe below the surface of survey responses."How do heavy category users describe what they're missing from current options?"

Single-Study:Explore findings from one study. Ask questions about specific questions, compare subgroups, or get a plain-language summary of what the data shows."Which purchase drivers were most polarizing across segments?"

Cross-Study or Multi-Study: Ask questions that span multiple studies. Ideal for tracking shifts over time, comparing waves, or identifying patterns across different pieces of research."How did brand awareness shift across our last three trackers?

Persona: Interact with a specific digital twin persona. Use this for rapid concept feedback, message testing, or exploring how a particular profile would respond to something new."How would the Millennial Practical Spender react to this pricing change?"

General: Ask questions that aren't tied to a specific study or segment — research methodology questions, platform how-tos, or open-ended exploration of your data landscape."What studies do we have on category entry points from the last two years?"How to use it

  1. Navigate to app.panoplai.com/pdu-explorer or select Unified Chat from the main navigation.
  2. Choose a chat type — Segment, Single-Study, Cross-Study, Persona, or General. If you're not sure, start a General chat and Panoplai will route you to the right context.
  3. For Segment, Single-Study, Cross-Study, and Persona chats, select the relevant study, studies, or persona to scope your conversation.
  4. Type your question in plain language. No special syntax required.
  5. Continue the conversation to go deeper, pivot to a new angle, or switch chat types within the same session.

Good to know

  1. Unified Digital Twin Chat is included with paid subscriptions. There's no additional cost beyond your platform fee.
  2. All five chat types are available from the same entry point. You don't need to navigate into a specific study or profile first — though you can still start a conversation from within a study if that's where you are.
  3. Cross-study chat works best when the studies you're comparing have overlapping questions or metrics. Panoplai will flag when it's making inferences across non-identical question wording.
  4. Conversation history is saved. You can return to a previous chat, pick up where you left off, or share a conversation thread with a colleague.
