How to Use Filters

A filter narrows your data to focus on a specific group — so you can analyze responses from just that audience.

Why Use Filters?

  • Zoom in on a single segment

  • Remove noise from your view

  • Focus your analysis before applying cuts or exports

How to Filter

  • Click the Filter icon in the upper right of the Results pages (this icon persists across all Results tabs)

  • Choose whether to filter by a Question or a Demographic

  • Select the question or demographic and response option you want to filter by
    • Example: Want to analyze only responses from people who shop at retail stores at least once a week? Use a filter to show only that subset of data.

  • Click Apply at the bottom to activate your filter

Notes:

  • You can stack filters using AND logic to combine conditions (e.g., participants who shop online weekly and mostly in-store)
  • Click the floppy disk icon in the upper right corner to save a filter and revisit it later
  • Saved filters appear in the floppy disk icon on the Selected filters bar on the main screen
  • When a filter is applied, it will appear at the top of the filter wizard and on the Selected filters bar
    • To remove a filter, click the filter icon with an "x" — either in the wizard or next to Select filters on the main screen
