Display Logic Based on Ranking Responses

You can now use ranking-based logic to show (or hide) follow-up questions depending on where a respondent ranked a specific option in a ranking question. This makes it easier to ask targeted follow-ups questions.

With ranking-based logic, you can ask targeted follow-ups like:

  • “Why did you rank this #1?”

  • “Tell us more about the item you ranked last.”

  • “Show a deep-dive question only for top-ranked priorities.”

How to Set It Up

  1. Add a Ranking question to your survey.

  2. Add the follow-up question you want respondents to see.

  3. Open the Logic settings on the follow-up question.

  4. Select your Ranking question as the condition.

  5. Choose the option you want to reference.

  6. Specify the rank position (example: “Ranked #1” or “Ranked in Top 3”).

  7. Save your logic rules.
