Custom Reports

Create & Share Stakeholder Ready Outputs

Custom Reports allow you to build polished, stakeholder-ready reports directly within Panoplai. You can curate specific questions, apply filters or cuts, and arrange insights into a clear narrative—without exporting data or rebuilding slides elsewhere.

Custom Reports are ideal for sharing findings with internal teams, clients, or executives who need clear takeaways rather than full dashboards.

How to Create a Custom Report

  • Navigate to Reports

    • From within your study, select the Reports tab in the top navigation.

    • Click Create Report to start a new report.

  • Name Your Report

    • Give your report a clear, descriptive title (for example: Q1 Brand Tracking Summary or Partner Insights – Leadership Readout).

    • Click Create to open the report editor.

  • Add Pages to Your Report

    • At the bottom of the report, select Add new Page.

    • You can choose from several layout options:

      • Empty – start from a blank page

      • Full Page – one main content area

      • Two Columns – side-by-side charts or text

      • Left Sidebar / Right Sidebar – useful for annotations or headlines

      • You can also use My Layouts if you’ve previously saved custom formats.

  • Add Content to Each Page

You can add content to a report page in two ways: directly within the report builder or from the Charts view.

    •  Option A: Add content directly in the report builder

      • Click into an empty section on the page

      • Choose from:

        • Text (for headlines, context, or takeaways)

        • Chart (to insert a visualization)

        • AI Conversations (to add excerpts from a conversation with your data)

      • This approach is useful when building slides from scratch or layering insight alongside charts.

    • Option B: Add charts from the Charts view

      • Navigate to the Charts tab

      • Locate the question or visualization you want to include

      • Select Add to report

      • Choose the destination report and page

      • Charts added this way will retain any applied cuts or filters, making it easy to tailor views for specific stakeholders.

  • Edit and Refine

    • You can:
      • Reorder pages
      • Edit the report title at any time
      • Iterate as new data or insights emerge
    • This makes Custom Reports well-suited for ongoing or evolving projects.

Sharing and Exporting

Once your report is ready, you can:

  • Share the report directly with collaborators

  • Use Data Library to copy AI Conversation and Summary content into your report’s text boxes

Reports are designed to be presentation-ready with minimal additional formatting.

Best Practices

  • Start with a clear audience in mind (leadership vs. working team)

  • Limit each page to one main idea or takeaway

  • Use filters intentionally to highlight differences that matter

  • Treat reports as living documents—update as new learning becomes available
