Copy From a Previous Study

Need to reuse a proven survey structure? Panoplai lets you copy past studies to save time, reduce errors, and move faster — no need to reinvent the wheel.

Two Ways to Copy from a Previous Study 

Option 1: Copy the study on the Studies Dashboard

  1. On the Studies Dashboard, locate the study you want to copy
  2. Click the third icon on the right (Copy icon)

  3. Fill out the required details:

    1. Study Copy Title – What do you want to name the new version?

    2. My Teams vs. All Teams – Choose whether this study is available to a specific team or to all teams.

    3. Copy Type – Choose between:

      1. Structure Only – Copies just the survey setup

      2. Structure + Responses – Copies both the study and all current responses

  4. Once copied, your study will appear in the dashboard with a status of "In Progress."

Note: If you copy responses, only the current state is captured. Any edits or new participants after the copy are not reflected in the new version.

Option 2: Start a New Study from a Copy

  1. From the main dashboard, click New Study
  2. Select "Copy From a Previous Study"
  3. Choose the study you’d like to replicate
    1. This method creates a copy of the study structure only — responses will not be included.
